“Welcome to my website. There has been a lot of interest in my new book on supervising and advising research students. You can contact me by email at dr.anne.lee@which.net

“This year I have visited universities in London, Oxford, Sussex, Wales, Eire and Sweden. Recently I have spoken at a Higher Education Policy and Practice (HEPP) seminar in Kingston and at a UKCGE (UK Council for Graduate Education) event in Bristol ‘Strategies for Supervisor Development’. In Bristol we had a lively discussion about approaches to managing the workload of supervisors. I gave a conference presentation on ‘Identifying learning outcomes at Doctoral Level’ and am creating a 3-day residential programme for later in the academic year.

Research for a report on Supervisor Development Programmes has been completed for another client. Much of my consultancy work has involved working with doctoral supervisors and looking at developing researchers, I am also working on introducing research at all levels in the curriculum and am also actively involved in coaching and mentoring, leadership and academic development.

I am also writing a chapter for a book (to be published by Routledge in 2012) designed to help universities make the most of that growing group: the part-time teachers. The chapter is called ‘What the part-time lecturer really needs to know”.

Contact Anne for information on workshops, seminars, research or just to talk about:

Strategic academic leadership, merging and managing essential changes

Advanced practice for academics including:

Improving learning with small and large groups

Making marking and assessment easier and fairer

Ensuring accessibility for diverse groups in your programmes

Introducing global awareness and internationalism

Developing approaches to employability that work
